ABOUT.
I'm a writer living amongst the rugged hills of North Wales UK, whose debut novel THE WOMAN IN THE WALLPAPER - a dark mystery set against the blood and turmoil of the French Revolution - will be published in the UK and US in February 2025.
The Woman in the Wallpaper was sold to Sphere (Hachette, UK) in a whirlwind twenty-four hour, major six-figure pre-empt, with North American rights selling to Union Square the following working day in a second six-figure pre-empt. Rights have since sold to four further territories, with others to follow. Film rights are currently under negotiation via Grandview, Los Angeles.

After studying English Literature at Durham University, I began my career in the TV industry in London, reading scripts for ITV's drama department and writing factual programme content and comedy material for the BBC, Channel 4 and others. Married to a professional TV and stage magician, I also spent well over a decade working amongst the UK magic scene, gathering up its most intimate secrets.

Several years ago I moved away from the capital, relocating two hundred miles north to an 18th century farmhouse overlooking an ancient Welsh valley brimming with legends dating back millennia. It is here that I started writing creatively in earnest.

I'm obsessed with the natural world, and working to rewild the 16 acre patch of uplands around my home. In my spare time I draw and paint (largely wildlife... I have a penchant for big cats), selling my pieces in aid of wildlife conservation and other charities.

Passionate about creating and writing original stories, I'm currently drafting my second novel, as well as developing a unique, interactive podcast with my husband Barry Jones.
