Hello and a big welcome to my new site!
As some of you may know, I started making my poured plaster wedding tiles back in the summer of 2016, when I was growing fatigued with life in London, and feeling ill and burnt out both mentally and physically. Rediscovering a technique I'd been introduced to at school gave me the sense of calm I'd been searching for and allowed me to reconnect with a long-standing passion of mine since childhood: the growing of and crafting with flowers.
Just a few weeks later, my husband and I made the decision to move out of London and to the countryside, and I started to offer my services to brides looking for a unique way of turning their bouquets into something they could treasure forever. I launched my plaster wedding tile castings under the name Ellie & Beatty, assuming it would tick along quietly in the background of my life. However, a little over a year later the demand has been greater than I could possibly have predicted!
As a result of this, I've now not only taken the decision to rename the business, but am also offering alternative wedding flower preservation options (including handmade jewellery) and holding flower crafting workshops across the country. I'm also busy creating a cut flower garden at our new home, Llanerch Farm, growing blooms I can not only pick to turn into beautiful pieces of art and crafts, but also cultivate specifically to bolster the numbers of our declining pollinators. I'm hoping to be able to document this process throughout the year.
Big thanks for visiting this site and to all the brides, grooms, parents, in-laws, bridesmaids and EVERYONE who has supported me on my journey so far.
